Nature-based Solutions Initiative

This is a new programme of research, policy advice and education aimed at increasing the implementation of Nature-based Solutions through the application of science. Current work focuses on collating scientific information on Nature-based Solutions for climate change adaptation and making this more accessible to decision makers through this platform. The programme also assess the role of Nature-based Solutions in climate change policy, with a focus on the adaptation plans of all signatories of the Paris Agreement. The goal is tofacilitate the process by which climate pledges are revised and to scale up the role of Nature-based Solutions. This platform will continue to grow with more studies, policy guidance and functionalities to help rapidly access and locate the most relevant evidence.
